England Junior Charlie Dunn wins the White Horse Trophy and Steve Smith gets a birdie and a par on the same hole!

Charlie Dunn overcame losing his ball with his first drive of the day to win by one shot against a field that after the first round had 10 contenders within 3 shots of first round leader Juniors Captain Paul Wood. A field of 41 players took on the course for 36-holes of medal play on a beautiful sunny, warm day in relatively benign wind conditions on a course in excellent condition.

1st Round Results (all scores net):
1st - Paul Wood 65
2nd - Elliott James 66
3rd - Tige Ladd 66

2nd Round Results:
1st - Charlie Dunn 65
2nd - Darren Munro 66
3rd - Guy Bettesworth 67 (on count-back)

Overall:
1st - Charlie Dunn 133
2nd - Wayne Hemmens 134 (on count-back)
3rd - Tige Ladd 134
4th - Darren Munro 135
5th - Kev Griffiths 139 (on count-back)

And Steve Smith's birdie par? On the first round 17th hole Steve took out a crow in mid-flight with his approach to the green; the ball finished on the green, the now dead bird on the fairway, and Steve 2-putted to score a par. His playing partners were unimpressed and said it was nothing to crow about!
