St Patrick’s Day / ABF Golf Competition Report

The annual St Patrick’s Day / ABF Golf Competition, held on 17 March 2026, proved to be another tremendous success. Blessed with excellent weather and played across an immaculately presented course, conditions were perfect for an enjoyable and competitive day of golf.
Competition Results:
Ladies’ Winner
• Liz South – 38 Points
Liz delivered an outstanding performance, securing the ladies’ title with an impressive 38 points. Her consistency and accuracy across the course set a high standard for the day.
Overall, Winner
• Brian Lamont – 36 Points
Brian claimed the overall competition win with 36 points, demonstrating solid play throughout and holding his nerve on the closing holes.
Royal Irish Trophy Winner
• Guy Bettesworth – 30 Points
Guy captured the prestigious Royal Irish trophy with a steady round totalling 30 points—a well-deserved victory in a strong field.
Hospitality & Thanks
A big thank you goes to all the staff involved for providing an excellent meal and delivering top-tier hospitality throughout the event. Their hard work and professionalism played a major role in making the day memorable for all participants.
