Mixed Open Texas Scramble report 2019
West Wilts Golf Club welcomed a field of 96, 24 teams, to the 2019 Mixed Open Texas Scramble. 4 home teams, 6 mixed teams and 13 away teams.
The weather improved as the day went on and the course was in a very good condition, praised by many. Thanks go to the green staff for their excellent work.
The rolling buffet was very much appreciated, and thanks go to Ruth and her team.
The starters - Bobby McKeown and Geoff Titt - got us going off the 1st and 11th tees and despite a full course there was not too much waiting throughout. Thank you to them, and also thanks to Pat Hiscock and Zella Mossman, on the desk, and Iris Macey for arranging the beautiful flowers, much admired.
Everyone seemed to enjoy the day, staying around after the presentations.
We look forward to next year welcoming back familiar faces and maybe new faces too. Put a note in your diary for Sunday 20th September 2020, I think there may be limited spaces!
