Mixed Millennium Trophy 2021/22
After missing a year 16 couples started out for this Foursomes competition. The first and last dates are played with the original pairing, but the other weeks are drawn for partners. Each week prizes are paid to at least the first three places.
Played over 9 weeks, the best 6 scores to count proved quite interesting! 2 weeks were abandoned due to appalling weather. Four couples had the luxury of discarding one week and six other couples were in the running as they completed the six qualifying weeks.
Despite Sue Fraser and Terry Armitt leading all the way they were pipped at the post by Jackie and David Cooper by 3 points to win the trophy, Sarah Pickup and Gary Tharme came in 3rd , Sarah and Gary did end up with a bath duck as they were the only ones keen enough to play a few holes in the really bad weather!
The meal afterwards was very enjoyable, especially after such a long wait to socialise once again. With the Chef away Ruth, Sam and Lee and team produced a lovely meal enjoyed by all.
