Geoff Sims is Club Captain 2018
The Annual General Meeting on 22 February saw outgoing club captain Steve Few handing over the Captain's medal of office to Geoff Sims.
Geoff started playing golf at the age of 10 and has been a member of West Wilts for almost 35 years. In his career he has represented Wiltshire County and the South West of England in all age groups; Colts, Mens and Seniors. He was County Captain in 1994/95 and has been WWGC Club Champion on three occasions. He is still active and currently represents the club in the County Seniors' Scratch league.
Geoff counts fellow Wiltshire county team-mate David Howell (and former World Top 10 player) amongst his long-time friends and we will no doubt see him hosting David through the year at some of our events.
Vice-Captain for 2018 is Chris Trimby. We wish both Geoff and Chris well for the coming year and for Steve, a well-earned rest.
