First Team Match Report Marlborough (Away)

The First Team got their 2025 season underway with their first fixture in Division 1 since 2017, travelling to face a strong Marlborough side.
Marlborough, who topped Division 2 last season just ahead of West Wilts, fielded an impressive line-up of 8 players, all boasting handicaps of 1 or lower.
Despite the challenge, there were encouraging signs throughout the team. Ollie Worts and Wayne Hemmens secured an excellent win in their match, earning West Wilts a valuable point. While Marlborough took the overall result 51, it was a competitive match that provided a good insight for the season ahead.
A great effort from all involved.
The teams next match is at home to Bowood on 17th May.
