Brass Monkeys Round 3 – Sunday 3 December
The third and final round of the Brass Monkeys was held in positively tropical conditions on Sunday.
Foursomes, the course in perfect condition, a balmy calm and at least 12 teams still in the hunt after the 4BBB and Greensomes rounds held through November. An excellent day in prospect with the leaders going into the final round on 86pts; the pairings of Daves Butler & Dredge and Tony Lanfear & Pete Laidlaw who shared a two-point cushion over a cluster of 5 other pairings, including the Round 1 leaders Andy Sutton and Stuart Beggs.
With scoring still tight right up to the final few holes Sutton & Beggs managed to overturn their two-shot deficit and despite Butler & Dredge posting a creditable 38pts the 41pts of Sutton & Beggs pushed them back up to one-point ahead of the field with 125. Full results are listed below.
