BANK HOLIDAY TEXAS SCRAMBLE - SUMMER FUN COMPETITION No 1
Just 10 four-man teams took to an empty course in glorious sunshine to enjoy some 'millionaires golf' in the first Summer Fun Competition of 2016.
The Bank Holiday was obviously just too much for many of our regulars and with families to take to the beach the course was deserted for much of the weekend. A Texas Scramble brought out many of the usual suspects and some good scoring saw 3 teams below 60 with Club President Dave Hiscock leading home his team of Ernie Hiscock, Jamie Darville and Nick Bishop to a 0.9 shot lead over second place team of Pete Laidlaw, Steve Smith, Len Colliss and Bob Burt.
