Kenny Erskine blew away the opposition today and scored an excellent net 64 to win the Golf Foundation Cup.
Conditions were good for golf with dry, sunny weather and the usual South/Southwesterly 2-club wind, so it was with some surprise that the early scorers were not able to go better than the high 60s and it took some time until Kenís score came in to clear the log-jam of ties on 69. Eventually Roger Morris posted a 67 followed soon after by Bert Weedonís 68 and this was matched by Rich Henry in the final group.
The competition was medal off full handicap and played in one divison. Full results are shown below.
Highlight of the day was to hear the good news that the snake that bit the Vice Captain (Geoff Sims) in Spain last week is doing fine and responding well to therapy.
